OUR APPROACH TO MEMORY CARE:
Our philosophy in our Memory Care Community is to provide quality services for individuals experiencing physical and/or cognitive limitations; and to determine which individual services are most appropriate to achieve the most independent and comfortable lifestyle for each of our residents. It is our intention to promote dignity and respect for our residents and provide support for their families as we each have a role to play on behalf of the resident. We meet each resident where they are in their journey and provide support for families in understanding the disease process. We encourage families to visit regularly and remain active in their loved one’s daily life. Their insights help us detect behavioral and physical changes early.

MEDICAL & SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS
As aging progresses, and with it, the diseases that cause memory impairment, residents may experience increased risks. As memory-related conditions progress, residents face increased risks such as falls, wandering, weight loss, dehydration, and other health concerns. Our trained staff proactively manages these risks, working closely with families and healthcare providers to create a personalized care plan. In addition, our community strives to provide a homelike atmosphere where we offer a safe and secure environment for our memory care residents.

The physician plays a critical role in the resident’s care. It is the resident’s physician, and only the physician, who can prescribe medications and make changes to the medication program as the resident’s condition changes. Using a dedicated pharmacy ensures medication safety and helps prevent adverse interactions.

FAMILY INVOLVEMENT & SUPPORT
Many individuals and families face the reality of caring for an aging relative and sometimes our seniors experience long and short-term memory loss. Regency Park Assisted Living has a supportive and caring environment with a residential program that provides comfort, security measures and 24/7 care support from our nursing staff.
